A note from the founder

Hey, I’m Lauren, a New York Times bestselling romance author turned accidental mystic.

For most of my life, my knowledge of astrology started and ended with: “I was born in April, so... Aries?” But I stumbled into the world of astrology while researching my novel Miranda in Retrograde. After I turned in the book, nobody was more surprised than me to realize that my longtime love of the romance genre had been replaced by an insatiable interest in astrology.

I founded Vesper Avenue in 2025 to be the type of resource I wish I’d had when I started learning astrology: simplified, stylish, and a little aspirational.

About the Name

Vesper is Latin for Venus at twilight, and also happens to be one of my favorite cocktails. Avenue is a nod to Manhattan’s iconic street grid.
